Courtney Meredith is an author, brand consultant, first-generation Nevada native and currently the chief designer of Design on the Edge, a boutique family-owned design firm co-founded by herself and her husband. She carries numerous certifications and degrees in the field of Graphic Design, Communications and Marketing. Over the past 23 years of her career she has won more than 45 awards for graphic design, marketing and business on a local, regional and national level. In 2013 she co-wrote and published the first pictorial manuscript on the history of the Reno Riverwalk District, that same year her company was nominated as the “Most innovative company and service in northern Nevada,” and was nominated as one of the top small family owned businesses in Nevada by Nevada Business Magazine, she has been honored as the Creative Advocate of the year from the Nevada Center of Entrepreneurship, Public Relations Specialist of the year by Reno News & Review, Top 150 of Reno's influential community members by the City of Reno, Advertising Person of the year by the American Advertising Federation, Irish person of the year by the Sons and Daughters of Erin, 20 Under 40 nominee for 4-consecutive years, recognition as a community mentor by the Girl Scouts of the United States of America, Influential women of the Sierras Nominee for 3-consecutive years, EDAWN nominee, and has received awards from the Nevada Press Association, American Marketing Association, Graphic Design USA Magazine, Nevada Economic Development Awards, and the American Advertising Federation. Courtney is also partner in launching the 2020 Reno Resilient program, and the Reno Riveters recognition programs.
Courtney actively assists in the revitalization of the downtown corridor, with her company being the primary creative agency for the Reno Riverwalk District, and Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, and has worked with brand development and event coordination on hundreds of brands.. She currently sits on the marketing committee for the Downtown Reno Business Improvement District, is a past board member for the American Business Women’s Association, past board member of the American Advertising Federation of Northern Nevada, founding member and Secretary of the Biggest Little City organization and a member of NCET, AIGA, AAF, NAACP, Scottish Society of Nevada, and the Sons and Daughters of Erin. She occasionally speaks to the senior level design program at Truckee Meadows Community College and the University Nevada Reno and has been the keynote speaker for dozens of conferences and panels.
